Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS), Children, Youth and Families Division (CYF), has an immediate opening for County Caseworker 2 in the Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Caseworker 2 (CIU) is responsible for receiving, screening, and processing requests for criminal background investigations submitted by direct services staff regarding parent consumers and other proposed child caregivers. The Caseworker 2 participates in ensuring child safety by investigating caregiver's criminal histories, which is accomplished by accessing available databases, analyzing information obtained and compiling a summary report regarding each subject request. The incumbent forwards the criminal background summary reports to the requesting direct services caseworkers for use in the DHS / OCYF risk assessment and case planning processes and the Juvenile Court's placement decision making.
Work Schedule and Additional Information :
Monday - Friday 4 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AM, with a 1-hour lunch
