ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer's Oncology portfolio has grown significantly, now encompassing over 20 products, including leading treatments for breast and genitourinary cancers, a suite of precision medicines that navigate complex diagnostic challenges, and a strong set of oncology biosimilars. To effectively support this expanding portfolio, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Oncology Portfolio Strategy and Innovation to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic planning for key initiatives across our oncology portfolio, ensuring that each brand's needs and priorities are met in alignment with our overall business goals.
Your responsibility will be to partner with oncology business leaders to develop and execute strategies that advance Pfizer's Oncology business. You will work closely with Commercial Oncology leadership to tackle critical business challenges and identify opportunities, continually aligning efforts with our strategic priorities while remaining adaptable to changing conditions. Additionally, you will analyze market signals that could influence business performance or strategic shifts, providing valuable insights to the team.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement comprehensive portfolio strategies affecting multiple oncology brands to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and analytics to achieve successful portfolio strategy execution.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to guide strategic decisions.
Prepare and present strategic plans, business cases, and performance reports to senior leadership.
Partner with business unit leaders to formulate business strategies and identify key strategic imperatives and capabilities needed for success.
Contribute to a strategy action plan that oversees strategy execution and ensures alignment.
Manage a portfolio of projects that provide insights on market development, customer needs, competitive advantage, and product prioritization.
Offer insights on external market signals that might impact future business performance.
Build expertise on market dynamics to pinpoint trends, assess opportunities, and inform strategic direction.
Comprehend the priorities of key stakeholders to effectively represent business needs and status on opportunity evaluations.
Establish external relationships to gain insight into the ecosystem relevant to your business support areas.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A demonstrated history of diverse leadership experiences, including the ability to influence, collaborate, develop, and coach team members for impactful outcomes.
A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
At least 8 years of relevant healthcare experience, particularly in strategic development or related initiatives (e.g., marketing, commercial development, market access).
Proven success in performance, teamwork, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to operate under pressing timelines.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in managing and prioritizing multiple activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders.
Familiarity with the oncology marketplace.
Adeptness in navigating a matrix organization and leading through indirect authority.
Capability to distill complex information into actionable frameworks for decision-making.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. This position is also eligible for the Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20% of the base salary, alongside participation in Pfizer's long-term incentive program.
