JobDescription :
Our clientis seeking an Estimator based in Grove City OH. This individualwill be held responsible for all aspects of bidding HeavyCivil andMarine construction projects and the followingduties :
Dutiesand Responsibilities :
Assist with project selection.
Attend prebid walk throughs.
Prepare accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs &estimates.
Breakdown projectsinto functional stages.
Abilityto receive and evaluate subcontractor quotes for applicable scopesand alignment with bid documents.
Developing and maintaining relationships with customerbase.
Work directly with ownersconstruction managers architects engineers andcontractors.
Accurately reviewproject schedules for applicablescopes.
Review and incorporatehistorical data from past projects into unit and manhourfigures.
Prepare bid analysis andreview with the estimating group.
Prepare budget pricing or firm proposals as required forcustomers.
Preparation of requestfor proposal for applicable scopes of work needed includingunderstanding small business goalrequirements.
Provide a financialjob cost analysis and project handoff transition to the projectteam including risk analysis.
Resource subcontractors materials andequipment.
Provide leadership toothers through example and by sharing knowledge andskill.
Requirements
Associates or Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering orConstruction Management preferred ora
combination of experiencetechnical training and / or education isacceptable.
Ability to readunderstand and interpret specifications anddrawings.
Excellent communicationskills and leadership ability.
High level of attention to detail and costanalysis.
Ability to accuratelyread schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes ofwork.
Proficiency with computertakeoff & estimating software such as HCSS Heavy Bid aswell as use of the Microsoft Officepackage.
Ability to jugglemultiple projects and keep each on schedule ensuring that alldeadlines are met.
Ability tocommunicate well with all levels of employees within thecompany.
Must be flexible andenjoy working with a diverse group in a fastpacedenvironment.
