Job Title : Career Mentor, Work Plus
Job Summary :
CASES is seeking an energetic, independent, and culturally competent Career Mentor for our Work Plus incentive-based job readiness program. Focused on serving young adults ages 16–24 living in Central Harlem, the Work Plus Career Mentor will provide intensive employment support and career coaching to youth who are not currently enrolled in school or employed. The Career Mentor plays a pivotal role in creating pathways to sustainable employment and reducing justice system involvement through life skills development, community engagement, and individualized mentorship.
CASES keeps people out of jail and prison by engaging them with effective services that help them succeed in the community. We specialize in serving youth and young adults in criminal justice and neighborhood-based programs. This position is looking for an independent self-starter to be a Career Coach for an incentivebased job readiness program for young adults that live in Central Harlem.
Services are expected to be done in person – at the office and / or in the community.
Salary : The salary for the Work Plus Career Mentor position is $60,000 per year.
Shift Hours : The Work Plus Career Mentor position is full time from Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
Location Address : 4 West 125th Street, New York, N.Y. 10027 (Throughout Harlem and as needed)
Workplace Flexibility : Flexible ; Positions for which staff have flexibility to complete their workday from home or another suitable space, typically after reporting to the office and / or engaging in field or community-based work.
