Senior Staff Software Engineer

Join Intuit's Platform & Developer Experience (PDX) group as a Senior Staff Software Engineer focused on developing and scaling the API Gateway platform that powers billions of transactions across Intuit's ecosystem. Intuit's API Gateway is a foundational component of our cloud-native architecture, enabling seamless, secure, and scalable API interactions across microservices.

This team is reinventing how APIs are exposed, governed, and consumed across product teams, and contributes back to open source and industry innovation. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a highly available, scalable, and secure API Gateway platform.
• Partner with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to define and deliver platform capabilities.
• Lead and influence the technical direction of API lifecycle management, including traffic routing, authentication / authorization, rate limiting, and developer onboarding.
• Continuously raise the bar for reliability, performance, observability, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers across the organization and help define engineering best practices.
• Contribute to and lead open source initiatives aligned with our platform strategy.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and architectural patterns in API and traffic management.

Compensation & Benefits

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is : Bay Area California $214,000.00 - 289,500.00; Southern California $201,000.00 - 272,000.00. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit : Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
