Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Reconstruction to take full ownership of residential and commercial restoration projects in our growing Atlanta market.

As the Project Manager for reconstruction, you are the primary point of contact for clients and insurance carriers. You will inspect, estimate, secure approvals, and manage projects through completion. At the same time, Big Bear provides strong support : a well-trained administrative staff and reconstruction coordinators will assist you with scheduling, budgeting, updates, subcontractor agreements, and more helping you deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the quality standards we expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect New Losses Perform on-site assessments for residential and commercial properties, documenting damages with photos and detailed notes.
• Define Scope & Estimate Develop the scope of work and prepare estimates using Xactimate and T&M Pro.
• Obtain Approvals Submit estimates to insurance carriers, adjusters, TPAs, or directly to customers; address revisions and secure final approval.
• Client Authorization Present approved scope and costs to the customer, address questions, and secure signed work authorizations.
• Project Management Budget, schedule, and manage all reconstruction workprimarily through subcontractors and vendorsensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Closeout & Handover Complete final walk-through with client, secure sign-off, submit for invoicing, and support collections as needed.
• Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary liaison for clients, insurance representatives, and internal teams, providing consistent updates and managing expectations.
• Compliance & Documentation Maintain detailed records, ensure code compliance, safety adherence, and proper permitting throughout the project lifecycle.
