Job Description :
The candidate will be responsible for defining and enabling the interconnection of different FTTH networks in different counties / markets with the customer Data Centre along the state.
Tasks :
- Identify and understand the service requirements of each market to define the technical requirements of the backhaul intercounty connection.
- Lead the technical interaction with different stakeholders in existing infrastructure owners (utility companies, service providers, railway companies
to identify which services they offer and which infrastructure they have that can be used as part of the technical solution.
The technical solution should reduce to the minimum (ideally 0%) the new infrastructure to be built.
- Lead the definition of the technical solution required including both the passive network (reusing 3rd party infrastructure, dark fiber, etc) and the IP and Optics equipment with support from Nokia presales team.
- Be the interface in between the customer and the Backoffice design team that will design the passive network. Provide the design team with all the required details and requirements of the solution defined to be designed.
- Manage the transfer to the project management team of the work to be done once the solution is defined and approved by customer. Skills :
- Good understanding of FTTH networks and backhaul (IP and Optics) networks. A plus if experience working with Nokia equipment.
- Good understanding of FTTH services and related technical requirements.
- Good interpersonal skills to facilitate engagement with different companies.
- Proactivity. It is expected that the person will be autonomous in defining what needs to be done, who to interact with, to create the solution.
- Good understanding of the Florida, Arizona, and Texas marketplaces (main infrastructure owners, services available, etc)
- Bachelors degree in networks, technology, telecommunications or similar.
- Native American English speaker preferable.
