Responsibilities : Engine Maintenance :

Engine Maintenance :

Perform regular inspections and maintenance on marine engines, including outboard motors, inboard engines, and propulsion systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot engine-related issues.

Conduct repairs or replacements of faulty engine components.

Electrical Systems :

Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems on marine vessels, including wiring, lighting, navigation equipment, and communication systems.

Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform necessary repairs.

Hull and Structure :

Conduct inspections of the vessel's hull and structure.

Repair and maintain the hull, including addressing issues such as corrosion and damage.

Propulsion Systems :

Ensure the proper functioning of propulsion systems, including propellers, shafts, and steering mechanisms.

Conduct repairs or replacements when necessary.

Fuel Systems :

Inspect, repair, and maintain fuel systems, including tanks, lines, and filters.

Monitor fuel consumption and optimize efficiency.

Safety Equipment :

Inspect and maintain safety equipment such as life jackets, fire extinguishers, and emergency signaling devices.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Documentation :

Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.

Maintain documentation of inspections and compliance with maritime regulations.

Testing and Calibration :

Conduct performance tests on engines and other systems.

Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate operation.

Customer Interaction :

Communicate with boat owners or operators to understand and address specific issues.

Provide recommendations for preventative maintenance.

Environmental Compliance :

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to the disposal of waste, fuel, and other potentially hazardous materials.

Experience / Qualifications :

Education in marine technology, marine engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications or licenses, depending on local regulations.

Hands-on experience with marine systems and equipment.

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
