Business Development Representative

Finite State partners with product security teams, the guardians of our connected world, to create transparency for their connected devices and supply chains. Our platform handles connected devices and embedded systems across all industries, including those found in enterprises, healthcare, utilities, connected vehicles, manufacturing facilities, critical infrastructure, and government entities.

As a Business Development Representative, you will :

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be on the front lines of our go-to-market efforts, helping to fuel our growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers. You will partner closely with marketing and sales leadership to drive pipeline through outbound and inbound channels, and you'll play a critical role in shaping first impressions with prospects.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Prospecting into target accounts via email, phone, and social platforms to schedule meetings for our sales team.
  • Qualifying inbound leads and progressing them through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborating with marketing on campaigns, content feedback, and event follow-up.
  • Maintaining accurate records of interactions, activities, and outcomes in Salesforce.
  • Executing multi-touch outreach sequences using tools like Salesloft and HubSpot.
  • Staying current on our ideal customer profile, buyer personas, and market trends.
  • Providing a great first experience for potential customers by being professional, consultative, and informed.
  • What We're Looking For :

    We are seeking a motivated, curious, and tech-savvy individual who is passionate about breaking into sales and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

    Ideal candidates will have :

  • 13 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or other sales-related role
  • Cybersecurity experience (product security experience a plus)
  • Proficiency with core GTM tools including Salesforce (CRM), HubSpot (marketing automation), and Salesloft (sales engagement platform).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport.
  • A structured, organized approach to outreach and follow-up.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to take initiative and self-manage.
  • Comfort with metrics and performance tracking.
  • A growth mindset and a desire to build a career in go-to-market.

    The Finite State platform brings visibility and control to the supply chains that create connected devices and embedded systemsall in a simple to use platform and at the scale manufacturers need to keep device production on time and on budget. After unpacking and analyzing every file, configuration, and setting in a firmware build, the platform generates a complete bill of materials for software components, identifies known and 0-day vulnerabilities, shows a contextual risk score, and provides actionable insights that product teams can use to secure their software.
