The Department of Teacher Education seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position for their education and special education programs beginning August 1, 2026. Position is an on-campus position with rank of Assistant Professor.The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (face-to-face and online) in the teacher education department, maintaining scholarly productivity, and participating in service at the department, college, and university levels.

The Department of Teacher Education is comprised of 30 faculty with 26 initial teacher, advanced teacher, and service degree programs.The department supports students at all levels of their career pathways and is a partner with schools and programs throughout the South Georgia region.
