Our client is looking for a FieldTechnician I to join theirteam!

PositionDescription :

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a fulltime Field Tech I to perform onsite or inhouse servicing repairand / or installation of customer equipment.

This job may include anyaspect of field support including : troubleshooting and repair ofelectronic equipment systems and wiring;

installation of equipment;upgrades modifications programming; preventive maintenance actions;documentation..

Essential Duties andResponsibilities : include the following. Otherduties may be assigned.

• Installation preventive andcorrective maintenance of equipment to include tolling systemequipment PC based computers video surveillance equipment networkcommunications equipment and / or radio equipment detectors antennascontroller cabinets.
• Installs electrical conductordata conductor and fiber opticcable.
• Terminates CAT 6 and AVIconductors.
• Connects conductors to equipmentand ensures the equipment is functioning correctly.
• Connects electrical conductors topower services to energizeequipment.
• Tests devices to ensure theyfunction correctly.
• Completes reports logs andperforms shifttoshift communications in accordance with establishedpolicies procedures and localpractices.
• Responds to correctivemaintenance requests or alarms within an acceptable time frame.Diagnoses and repairs hardware software and systemissues
• Reports technical status ofsystem with accuracy andcompleteness.
• Restores equipment to operationalstatus as quickly as possible.
• Maintenance of spare equipmentand parts following guidelines set forth to doso.
• Module or PC Board swapout
• Isolation of faults in units orcomponents
• Field test of units orcomponents
• Electronic filing of workorders
• Assists with the training of lessexperienced technicians.
• Mass production of cablesassemblies etc forinstallation.
• Rewiring pulling cable and / orremovals at sites.
• Ability to travel for extendedperiods of time during installationprojects.
• Must be able to drive and have aclean driving record.

Required Skillsand Experience :

• High school diploma or generaleducation degree (GED) required. One year certificate from collegeor technical school preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 24 years of related experience.
• Driving record must be free ofDUI / DWI for threeyear period prior toemployment.
• Prior toll maintenance andelectronic bench repair experiencepreferred.
