Based in Belleville, NJ. our client operates a 10,000 sq. ft. air-conditioned precision machine shop specializing in production CNC milling and turning.

Their goal is to meet or exceed their customers’ expectations the first time and every time. As a result, most of their customer relationships span years or even decades.

They have worked with various plastics, nickel-bearing alloys, ferrous and non-ferrous metals across multiple industries such as aerospace, chemical, medical, water processing, lighting, and custom architectural hardware.

Their equipment includes :

• CNC Vertical Mills Haas / Brother + 4th / 5th axis
• Mazak Lathes w / Bar Feeders
• Mastercam CAD / CAM
• Standard grinding, finishing, saw, and manual machining equipment.

As a full-time Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will work the day shift (between 7 am and 3 : 30 pm and must be able to work independently to handle the packing, shipping, and delivery of our products and help with other operations around the shop.

To succeed, you should have :

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate);
• Basic Deburring and CNC machine experience preferred.
• Driver’s License with clean record.
• 2+ years of experience with shipping & receiving.
• Ability to perform moderate lift up to 50 lbs.
• Solid ERP Software skills
• Experience with CNC Machines
• General Auto Maintenance knowledge
• Supply Chain / Logistics knowledge
• Forklift Training

Your responsibilities as the Shipping & Receiving Associate will include :

• Lead Contact for the machine shop's shipping, receiving, and material operations.
• Maintain and update inventory for consumable items.
• Prepare documents, such as work documents, shipping labels, and purchasing needs.
• Visual inspection of parts before processing for delivery.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Responsible for pickup and deliveries utilizing the company van.
• Select and pack items for e-commerce orders.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or postage meters.
• General building maintenance, including company van as needed.
• Prepare / Weigh scrap materials for recycling.
• Serves on Hazcom Committee Maintains Hazmat SDS List.
