Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for an experienced IT Finance Consultant to help our multinational client streamline and manage their cloud spending while aligning costs with business objectives. This engagement duration is 3+ months and will be 3-days onsite in Woodland Hills. The IT Finance consultant will be responsible for overseeing cloud expenditures, identifying potential areas of savings, implementing financial processes, and working closely with technical teams to optimize usage. This role aims to address cost optimization, chargeback models, and ongoing financial planning for cloud resources.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and track cloud spending to ensure alignment with organizational goals and business objectives.
• Develop and oversee budgets for approximately 200 applications across various lines of business.
• Implement chargeback models to allocate cloud costs to relevant cost centers.
• Perform budget-to-actual analyses, identifying variances and ensuring accountability.
• Evaluate and optimize resource provisioning to reduce cloud expenditures while maintaining performance.
• Collaborate with DevOps and technical teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze and refine cloud reservation strategies to align with workload usage and negotiate better vendor agreements.
• Create detailed financial reports and forecasts to monitor cost reduction efforts and provide actionable insights.
• Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including application owners and cost center managers, to align costs with business needs.
• Assess and vet new workloads from both financial and technical perspectives to ensure cost justification.
• At least 7 years of experience in IT finance, cloud cost management, or a related field.
• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Oracle, including their cost structures.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and spend analysis.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps workflows and ability to collaborate with technical teams.
• Proficiency in chargeback models and inter-departmental cost allocation.
• Exceptional analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and inaccuracies in financial processes.
• Clear and effective communication skills for presenting technical and financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including cloud optimization initiatives.
