Director Of Payor Contracting, Negotiation, And Strategy

We are seeking a professional to join our Payor Partnerships team as the Director of Payor Contracting, Negotiation, and Strategy. The Payor Partnerships team manages a $8B commercial revenue portfolio and a high-growth national integrated care business that encompasses more than $5B of medical spend. This is a highly motivated, fun, and fast-paced team with extensive experience in negotiations, managed care, finance, and consulting, and is at the center of DaVita's strategy to grow as payors' partner of choice for kidney care. As the Director of Payor Contracting, Negotiation, and Strategy, you will have extensive interaction with senior leaders across Payor Partnerships, Operations, Finance, Strategy, M&A, and DaVita's ancillary business lines - providing excellent visibility within the DaVita Village. As Director of Payor Contracting, Negotiation, and Strategy, you will serve as a leader and mentor within the broader Payor Partnerships team. This teammate will be based in Denver, Colorado.
Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive :
100 payor relationships and contracts and execute on DaVita and Payor Partnerships team strategy with regard to portfolio growth, yield, payor relations, and value-based care.
Build relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders, internal and external, including operations, legal, collections, and business development.Develop complex financial proposals to support overall relationship and business objectives.Lead payor negotiations, including new contract negotiations, renegotiations, and termination / expiration events. Key to success is an ability to project manage a cross-functional team including analysts, legal, strategy, and senior executives.Develop creative solutions to overcome barriers in negotiations particularly around proposal development, economics, and contract language drafting.Be highly visible partner and primary liaison to dialysis facility operations leaders, including Group Vice Presidents, Divisional Vice Presidents, and Regional Directors.Support business development efforts including creation of presentation materials.Assist in shaping DaVita's go-forward strategy within the evolving health care landscape.Effectively manage and oversee the implementation process of contracts.Create presentation and communication materials appropriate for senior executive audiences.Serve as escalation point for any payor-related issues including collections, credentialing, and implementation, and work with a cross-functional team toward resolution.Organize payor meetings / joint operating committees to discuss clinical outcomes / initiatives, DaVita's value proposition, and partnership opportunities.Directly manage a contract manager that will support you in the management of your payor portfolio.Minimum Qualifications
