IIA has an opportunity in our A2LA accredited Metrology Lab in Irving, TX for a Metrology Trainee to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in metrology and inspection services.

Position Summary

The Metrology Trainee supports the Metrology Lab by performing dimensional inspections on manufactured components using both manual and automated tools. The Metrology Trainee ensures accurate documentation of inspection results, assists with shipping and receiving, and maintains a clean and organized work environment. This position plays an important role in upholding IIA’s commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs dimensional inspection on customer products.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation and records as required.
  • Assist in the shipping and receiving of products.
  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Curious about manufacturing and how products are made.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Alignment with the Core Values of IIA.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. occasionally and to sit at a single workstation for an entire shift, with scheduled breaks.
