Overview

SkillSetGroup is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer to work in the North San Diego county area. This position will be responsible for leading product design, manufacturability and process improvement for CNC based production. The chosen candidate must have experience with CNC machining and electrical connection assembly processes. Experience with press-fitting and multi-part stack up is also a must. This will be a 1st shift position and a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

1st shift - 9AM-5PM

Salary

Base pay range : $115,000.00 / yr - $130,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

Lead product design, manufacturability and process improvement for CNC-based production.

Work with CNC machining and electrical connection assembly processes.

Utilize press-fitting and multi-part stack up knowledge.

Focus on mechanical design and troubleshooting (approximately 75%) with electrical duties (approximately 25%).

Work with plastics, aluminum, and stainless steel materials; familiarity with cylindrical multi-part stack up and slip-fit knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience in production engineering; machining process knowledge required.

Experience with CNC lathe machining; background with 5-9 axis lathes and some Tornos Swiss machines is a big plus.

Experience with CNC-based production environments and related processes.
