Product Design Engineer Fabric & Pattern Development

Insight Global is seeking a Product Design Engineer Fabric & Pattern Development to lead the creation and validation of upholstery patterns for new product collections while driving pattern development through designated software programs. This individual will play a critical role in New Product Introduction projects from concept to launch, specifying manufacturing processes for new and existing designs and ensuring quality and cost improvements. Acting as a key collaborator across Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing teams, the Product Design Engineer will support prototyping, manage engineering change requests, and maintain accurate product data in ERP systems. Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally to meet project goals are essential for success in this role. Occasional domestic and international travel is required.

Skills and Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Design Engineering or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience in Optitex (or similar pattern development software)
• Solid modeling skills using a 3D CAD program
• 5 years of experience working in the furniture industry
