We are seeking an experienced Structural SteelEstimator to join our team. In this role you will be responsiblefor accurately estimating the costs of steel fabrication anderection for commercial projects.

Cives Steel uses industryleadingsoftware such as AutoCAD Bluebeam Revu Microsoft Office productsPeddinghaus Raptor SDS / 2 and Tekla.

Due to the unique nature of ourwork onthejob training will be provided to theCandidate.

Responsibilities :

• Review project specificationsdrawings and other documents to accurately estimate the quantitiesof materials labor and equipment required for eachproject.
• Determinethe cost of steel fabrication and erection using current marketprices and established rates for labor and equipment.
• Prepare detailed estimatesincluding material takeoffs pricing and labor and equipmentcosts.
• Work with theproject management team to develop project budgets andschedules.
• Communicate with vendors suppliersand subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability informationfor materials and services.
• Prepare and submit bids in atimely and accurate manner.
• Participate in bid review meetingswith Upper Management to finalize bids.
• Continuously improve theestimating process by incorporating new technologies andmethodologies.
• Othertasks as assigned.

Experience :

Construction Estimating : 1 year (Required)

Requirements :

• Strong analytical and mathematicalskills. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of mathincluding Basic Algebra Geometry and Trigonometry.
• Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office andestimating software.
• Ability to work independently andas part of a team.
• Time management / Attention todetail are a must.
• Knowledge of industry standardsand codes for steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and understandtechnical documents / drawings from multipledisciplines.
• Experience in structural steelestimating is a plus but not required.
• Candidates should expect to spendapproximately six hours per day sitting and working at a computer.The remaining time would be spent walking or standing withoccasional handling of rolls of structural drawings.

However theCandidate may be required to enter the shop from time totime.
