Restaurant General Manager – New York, NY

We are seeking an accomplished and driven Restaurant General Manager to lead all aspects of operations at a high-energy, upscale restaurant in New York City. This is a hands-on leadership role for a hospitality professional who excels at building strong teams, driving financial performance, and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.

Responsibilities :

Oversee all restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house management

Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team with a focus on hospitality and accountability

Lead by example, fostering a positive work culture and motivating staff to exceed expectations

Manage budgets, analyze P&L reports, and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals

Ensure inventory management, cost controls, and vendor relations are optimized for efficiency and quality

Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times

Handle guest relations with professionalism, ensuring consistent satisfaction and loyalty

Develop and execute marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement efforts to drive business growth

Implement systems and best practices to streamline operations and enhance performance

Qualifications :

3–5+ years of experience as a General Manager in a high-volume, full-service or upscale dining environment

Proven track record of driving financial performance and operational success

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Expertise in staff management, training, and retention

Ability to balance strategic decision-making with hands-on operational oversight

Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences
