Job description

Job Description & Skill Requirement :

  • As a System Engineer on the DBW (Drive-by-Wire) project you will be responsible for the design, integration, and validation of advanced electronic control systems. This role involves hands-on machine testing at Proving Grounds and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver next-generation machine control capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Define and manage system and software requirements for DBW systems.
  • Develop and maintain system architecture documentation.
  • Conduct on-machine testing, tuning, and validation of control systems at Proving Grounds.
  • Use tools like CANape, MATLAB / Simulink, and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) systems for validation.
  • Support field testing and troubleshoot system-level issues.
  • Develop and optimize control algorithms for hydraulic, powertrain, and steering systems.
  • Work with communication protocols such as J1939, CAN, and XCP.
  • Interface with system, software, and hardware teams.
  • Provide technical updates, documentation, and support for software releases.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • 5 8 years of experience in system engineering for off-highway, automotive, or industrial machinery.
  • Strong understanding of sensors, solenoids, actuators, and embedded control systems.
  • Experience with model-based development (MATLAB / Simulink).
  • Familiarity with DBW systems and safety-critical control systems is a plus.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with heavy equipment.
  • Exposure to machine control systems, including autonomous or semi-autonomous features.
  • Hands-on experience with machine testing and validation in proving grounds or field environments.
