Truck Maintenance II Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck Maintenance SALARY RANGE : $31.20 - $32.20 / hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES : R & R engines, R & R transmissions (automatic & standard), overhaul PTO's, air and electrical systems, R & R suspension work, brakes, tires, hydraulic system repairs, R & R clutches, road assistance, Assist other employees with PM service, Follow safety rules and keep work area clean. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list; additional tasks may be assigned; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES : Know how to complete vehicle inspection forms. Able to conduct a 90-day inspection as per DOT requirements. Able to troubleshoot and repair both air and electrical problems. Must be able to drive vehicles and forklift safely. A valid California Driver's License is required TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE : Minimum of three years of experience and / or training in CNG / LNG / Diesel truck repair and maintenance is required Or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Have a clean driving record Waste Industry experience, preferred In-frame engine overall experience, preferred Welding experience, preferred Minimum of three years of experience and / or training in CNG / LNG / Diesel truck repair and maintenance, required Or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Work overhead and underneath equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS : Will be exposed to outdoor weather, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Will be exposed to moderate levels of noise and dust.
