Job Summary : \nAs a vital member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse in the Mother Baby unit will provide compassionate and competent care to new mothers and their infants. We are seeking a dedicated nursing professional who can work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining awareness of all pertinent clinical situations. This role involves both routine and complex care, along with the ability to develop long-range care plans and manage clinical contingencies effectively.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n

- Utilize the nursing process encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, in line with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.\n
- Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.\n
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.\n
- Document comprehensive patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.\n
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying relevant issues and resources.\n\nPosition Requirements : \n\nEducation and Skills : \n
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.\n\nExperience : \n
- Preferred : At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications : \n
- BLS certification required.\n
- Current RN License in the state of employment or compact required.\n
- Current STABLE (Post-resuscitation / Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) certification required.\n
- Current NRP certification required.\n
- ACLS certification is preferred.\n\nAdditional Notes : \n
- All newly hired experienced RNs must attend the New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.\n
- New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member, with competency validations conducted at orientation.\n
- Completion of annual competency verification is necessary.\n\nWork Schedule : 7AM - 7PM\nWork Type : Full Time
