LocumJobsNetwork is working with Curative to find a qualified Cardiothoracic Surgery MD in Honolulu, Hawaii, 96813!

Pay Information

$480 to $500 per hour

About The Position

Honolulu, HI - Exclusive Weekend-Only Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Assignment

Highlights

  • Schedule : Only two weekends per month are available in the established rotation.
  • Critical Interim Coverage providing relief to two dedicated staff surgeons.
  • Ongoing Need available through the end of 2026.

Practice Setting

  • High-volume CTHS service performing approximately 400 heart pumps annually.

    • Schedule

  • Block Scheduling required : Friday night through Monday morning.
  • Only 1-2 weekends per month - you pick the dates that work for you within the rotation.
  • Additional PRN coverage available during staff PTO periods.

    • Procedures and Cases

  • Required experience with Aortic Dissections and Emergency ECMO / Impella support.
  • Rarely consults for CABG or cardiac trauma are needed on an emergent basis.
  • High-acuity focus : primary coverage for emergent TCV procedures.

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Current, Active State Licensure required for assignment.
  • Comfortable managing a weekend call burden averaging 2-3 consults per day.

  • Travel and Lodging Provided for the duration of the weekend assignments.
