Job Description

WE EXIST TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF ATHLETES AND TEAMS

Our mission is to improve the performance of athletes and teams, which we do by engineering the premier technology platform for sport. We've been at the forefront of sports technology and science since 2006 - we don't just work in the sporting industry, we are actively changing its future. Our solutions are designed to help athletes and coaches "play smart" in a world where 1% can literally mean the difference between winning and losing.

We work with over 4,600 teams around the world, empowering coaches, managers and trainers in premier teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, EPL, AFL, NRL, NCAA and more. We provide the information they need to optimize athletes' health, game-day readiness, and performance, as well as in-game tactics. Our solutions include wearable technology, video analytics, and athlete monitoring solutions, and we are passionate about helping sports organizations at all levels to better scout, recruit, teach, and win.

About the Role

As Catapult Sports' Events Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our brand's presence across North America - planning, organizing, and executing over 30 conferences, workshops, and industry events each year.

This pivotal role will ensure Catapult's brand presence is effectively deployed at major events, fostering relationships with key customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders. You will work cross-functionally with teams from Sales, Marketing, Product, and Support to strategically plan, execute, and manage key events that elevate Catapult's brand, engage our community, and drive business growth.

You'll ensure every detail runs smoothly, from logistics to on-site engagement, while also providing crucial support for activations in Latin America, APAC, and EMEA. This role calls for someone who thrives on bringing people together, loves the energy of live events, and can balance hands-on coordination with strategic thinking.

If you're ready to make an impact in the fast-paced world of elite sports technology, this is your opportunity to shape unforgettable experiences for coaches, athletes, and industry leaders worldwide.

What You'll Do

Strategic Event Planning & Execution

Work closely with Catapult's Global Product Marketing Director on the strategic planning and execution for Catapult's key regional events throughout the year, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment with overall company goals.

On-site lead

Act as the main point of contact for all on-site staff during each event wether on-site or remote.

Cross-functional Coordination

Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Support teams to ensure the successful execution of events. Ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the planning process.

Event Logistics & Operations

Manage logistics for events, including travel arrangements, venue coordination, event materials, and on-site support. Oversee setup and teardown, ensuring events run smoothly from start to finish.

Brand Presence & Engagement

Develop and execute strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement at each event. Represent Catapult's brand to customers, prospects, and industry leaders, cultivating meaningful relationships and driving business opportunities.

Customer & Prospect Relations

Foster and strengthen relationships with key customers, prospects, and industry partners, serving as the face of Catapult at all events.

Budget & Resource Management

Work within the predetermined event budget guidelines to ensure the efficient use of resources. Process purchase orders using our Finance team processes and provide detailed reports on event costs and outcomes.

Post-Event Reporting & Analysis

Track and report on event success based on ROI, gather feedback from stakeholders, and identify areas of improvement for future events.

What you'll need

  • Experience : 3-5 years of experience in event coordination, with a strong focus on planning, logistics, and on-site execution. Experience in sports-related events or working within sports organizations is a plus.
  • Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Location & Travel Requirements : Comfortable with frequent travel and flexible hours during event activations. Flexible to work evenings and weekends when required to support events.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed for event setup and teardown.
  • Tech-Savvy : Proficient in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant platforms.

Whether you're interested in sports or not, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing your work is supporting some of the most successful teams and athletes on the planet!

Research shows that while men apply for jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized groups tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't meet every single point in our job ad, please still get in touch! We would love to have a chat and see if you could be a great addition to our team. We are building the future of sports performance. Our priority is to find the brightest talent that can add to our team culture, those who actively contribute and who are excited about what they do.

All offers of employment are subject to Catapult's positive prehire check. To find out more, please contact the Talent Partner for this role
