1897 - Cloud Health Data Architect

GENERAL DUTIES :

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Senior Cloud Health Data Architect PM.

Design and implement a cloud strategy to make the VistA data from the VX-130 system and the incoming Cerner Millennium data available for advanced analytics, research, reporting, and application needs.

• Develop integration plans, templates, standard reporting, and error handling procedures.
• Engage and interact with technical SMEs and engineers in documenting the design and technical requirements.
• Develop, update, and manage roadmaps, project plans, and schedules.
• Review technical artifacts and test cases, perform data validation, manage all project management aspects of the effort risk, issue, schedule, and budget, and provide requirements for acquisition and funding packages.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience with VA and DOD legacy health data and private sector health data
• Experience managing Information Technology related projects through full SDLC
• Experience with cloud-based data storage applications and services
• Experience with SSIS, T-SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, Talend, AWS Glue, Databricks, and DeltaLake
• Experience with handling VistA data
• Ability to communicate highly technical subject matter to broad audiences, including Executive-level audiences
• HS diploma or GED and 15+ years of experience with working in a professional environment or BA or BS in CS, Engineering, Math, Data Science, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or Statistics and 5+ years of experience with working in a professional environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software for healthcare or clinical environment
• Experience seeing projects through to completion
• Experience performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
• Experience with implementing EHR
• Ability to perform as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
