Role Overview :
This individual contributor leadership position is responsible for crafting the overarching consumer digital product strategy for a leading telecommunications provider. The role also serves as a coach and mentor to line product managers within the Consumer Technology Experience (CTX) organization, helping them develop strategies in areas including traffic generation, engagement, online sales, and self-service support by keeping them abreast of emerging technologies and digital interaction models. The position will also be responsible for improving efficiency of the product development lifecycle from idea to production by identifying, trialing, and implementing AI-based tools that shorten time to market, developing new product development practices, and fostering empowered, outcome-driven product teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive long-term digital product strategy and vision that aligns with business goals and market trends, setting the direction for the next 36 months.
- Ensure clear alignment of teams' product roadmaps with organizational objectives and customer needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities, optimize digital channels, and drive innovation across digital touchpoints.
- Advise and support product managers in developing area-specific strategies (e.g., online sales, digital traffic, virtual assistants, future interaction models), ensuring coherence with the overall digital strategy.
- Coach and mentor product managers on lean agile methodologies, emphasizing empowered teams, outcome focus, and continuous customer engagement.
- Facilitate product discovery sessions, strategy workshops, and roadmap reviews to build strong product leadership and strategic thinking across the organization.
- Help develop and monitor KPIs and product outcomes, using data to inform strategy adjustments and coach teams on data-driven decision-making.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-centric culture, ensuring teams are structured for agility, innovation, and high performance.
- Translate AI trends to actionable strategies, partnering with product and engineering leadership to prioritize investments that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Pilot and evaluate emerging AI tools to streamline product discovery, design, and engineering workflows, develop recommendations for organization wide adoption to improve speed to market and efficiency.
- Publish thought leadership (whitepapers, case studies) to transform the organization's product operating model.
- Lead (or co-lead) a Digital Product Council (or a similar forum) that sets standards for product practices, outcome driven metrics, and AI adoption in the organization.
- Integrate customer research and experimentation into product strategy and development lifecycle.
Qualifications :
Extensive experience (10+ years) in digital product management, including strategic planning and hands-on leadership in telecommunications or a related digital sector.Proven track record in developing and executing digital product strategies and roadmaps at scale.Deep expertise in agile product management, lean methodologies, and coaching empowered teams.Strong facilitation, communication, and mentoring skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and inspire change in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.Analytical mindset with experience using data and KPIs to drive product decisions and measure success.Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.Preferred :
