About The Position

License : Valid Michigan license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and / or NCC C-EFM preferred

Must-Have :

OB, Mother / Baby, and Labor and Delivery experience.

Will work in all areas of LDRP and float to other departments as needed.

No requests for time off in the first 8 days of contract.

Only one holiday request allowed, and only one holiday or one evening / day after the holiday.

Description :

The unit has a 15-bed LDRP setup with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms.

RNs provide antepartum, labor, delivery, operating room circulating, scrub nursing, newborn nursing at delivery, and couplet care.

Nurses perform lab draws and hearing screens on newborns.

The patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines.

Every other weekend will be required unless specified otherwise.

Experience with circulating and telemetry Fetal Heart Monitoring is required.

Training will be provided for completing newborn infant hearing screens using specific equipment.

RNs will also float to cover as sitters when needed and may float to a distant location depending on census.

All submitted applicants are required to have the flu vaccine unless medically exempt.
