Sr. Manager –Filter Design

In this impactful leadership role, you will be a BAW technology lead in a filter design team, as the point of contact to the NPI team, responsible for enabling the adoption of new technologies, and customization of existing technologies to serve the needs of the filter design team, to develop front-end module products for the highly competitive cellular handset market. These modules will encompass power amplifiers, RF switches, SAW/BAW filters, duplexers, multiplexers, and analog bias controllers.

Key Responsibilities

• Devise a technology roadmap to provide a competitive advantage for Skyworks filters and products. Work with the technology team to guarantee timely deployment of items on the roadmap. Strike the necessary balance between immediate needs and long-term goals.

• Identity technology vectors that address the most pressing needs for successful module product development.

• Customize the existing technologies, and set priorities for the work done by the technology team to ensure critical shortfalls are addressed first.

• Collaborate with NPI to devise and enable new design methodologies, adherence to best practices, and overall compliance with the Product Realization Process.

• Train and coach design team members on the proper use of new technologies and methodologies.

• Interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning multiple functional areas, divisions, and/or customers, on a regular basis.

• Deploy engineering resources effectively, maintain partnerships with different functional groups, mentor team members, evaluate performance, coordinate activities, and support the career development of team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of job experience, Master’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or PhD with 8+ years of experience.

• Demonstrated relevant technical and leadership experience.

• Strong understanding of cellular RF systems.

• Extensive experience in acoustic filter designs, process integration, or multi-chip module (MCM) EM simulation.

• Proven project management and talent management skills.

• Established leadership abilities, including engaging and motivating engineering talent, defining and setting deliverables, planning resources, managing schedules, driving design methodology improvements, and achieving desired results.
