We are seeking a GCVE Networking SME to join our team.

This role will involve providing deep technical expertise in Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) networking architecture, connectivity, and hybrid cloud integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience in Google Cloud networking, VMware technologies, NSX-T, VPN / Interconnect configurations, and enterprise cloud migration strategies and a passion for cloud infrastructure modernization and secure network design .

Job Description :

As a GCVE Networking SME , you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Google Cloud VMware Engine network solutions within hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The GCVE Networking SME will collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure robust, secure, and efficient connectivity between on-premises systems and Google Cloud environments. The role requires strong technical expertise in Google Cloud networking, VMware NSX-T, and enterprise-level networking architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Design & Architecture

Design and architect GCVE networking environments , ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Develop network topology, routing, and segmentation strategies to support hybrid cloud integrations.

Configure and manage VPCs, subnets, VPNs, Cloud Interconnect, and firewall policies for GCVE workloads.

Optimize connectivity between on-premises data centers and Google Cloud VMware Engine.

Implementation & Integration

Implement NSX-T networking for GCVE, including virtual network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and distributed firewall configuration.

Work closely with infrastructure teams to integrate GCVE into existing enterprise network frameworks.

Manage DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and routing configurations to support VMware workloads in the cloud.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate network provisioning and monitoring through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Troubleshooting & Support

Serve as the primary technical escalation point for GCVE networking issues.

Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for connectivity, latency, or configuration problems.

Conduct performance tuning and optimize network utilization across hybrid environments.

Create and maintain detailed network documentation, topology diagrams, and runbooks.

Security & Compliance

Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and policies for cloud networking.

Implement network segmentation, encryption, and secure connectivity strategies between GCVE and other platforms.

Partner with security teams to conduct vulnerability assessments and apply best practices in secure network design.

Collaboration & Strategy

Work with Google Cloud and VMware engineers to support advanced network integrations.

Advise architects and leadership on network design best practices and cost optimization strategies.

Train and mentor technical teams on GCVE networking configurations and operations.

Stay updated on emerging Google Cloud networking trends and technologies to drive innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

8+ years of experience in enterprise networking, with at least 3+ years working on Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

Expertise in VMware NSX-T, vSphere, vCenter, and hybrid cloud integrations .

Strong understanding of GCP networking - VPCs, subnets, VPN, Interconnect, Cloud NAT, and firewalls.

Experience designing hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures .

Familiarity with automation and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Deployment Manager.

Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex cloud network environments.

Certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP-NV) are preferred.
