Optum AI is UnitedHealth Group's enterprise AI team. We are AI / ML scientists and engineers with deep expertise in AI / ML engineering for health care. We develop AI / ML solutions for the highest impact opportunities across UnitedHealth Group businesses including UnitedHealthcare, Optum Financial, Optum Health, Optum Insight, and Optum Rx. As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll architect and deploy scalable cloud platforms that power high-impact AI / ML solutions across UnitedHealthcare, Optum Financial, Optum Health, Optum Insight, and Optum Rx. You'll collaborate with world-class scientists and engineers to build intelligent systems using generative AI, NLP, and LLMs-working with structured and unstructured health care data to solve some of the industry's most complex challenges. From designing enterprise-grade ML infrastructure to developing no-code and low-code AI applications, your work will directly improve the health care journey for millions. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
