The PLM Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system to ensure seamless operation and integration with other enterprise applications. The role involves user administration, system configuration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and coordination with cross-functional teams to support engineering and business processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer and support the PLM environment (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE, Windchill, or Agile PLM).
- Manage user access, roles, privileges, and security settings within the PLM system.
- Perform system configuration, data migration, and updates based on business requirements.
- Monitor and maintain system performance , availability, and data integrity.
- Coordinate with IT, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure PLM aligns with organizational workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PLM-related issues, errors, and integration challenges .
- Support and maintain integrations with CAD tools (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks) and ERP systems (SAP, Infor XA).
- Develop and maintain documentation , including system procedures, workflows, and training materials.
- Participate in PLM upgrades, patches, and testing to ensure compatibility and smooth rollout.
- Provide end-user support and training to improve PLM adoption and efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors or technical teams for customizations, enhancements, and API development .
- Ensure data security, compliance, and version control within the PLM ecosystem.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.4+ years of experience in PLM system administration and support.Hands-on experience with Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE, Windchill , or equivalent PLM tools.Strong understanding of CAD integrations (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks).Knowledge of ERP interfaces (SAP, Infor XA, Oracle, etc.).Experience in PLM configuration, data model management, and workflow setup .Familiarity with SQL, scripting, and API usage for automation or integration.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills .Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional global teams .Preferred Qualifications :
