About the Role This position is responsible for maintaining a high‑energy, positive environment, where behaviors that support client‑centric service are consistently demonstrated. The Assistant Salon Director helps drive store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed established productivity goals. He/she manages and supervises Tanning Consultants to achieve company goals, leads by example in all company operations, and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience. Responsibilities Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast‑paced environment. Lead by example in all company operations, creating a client‑centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations. Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment. Establish clear goals and objectives for team members. Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve team members’ daily performance. Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions. Assist the Salon Director in controlling top‑line revenue and expenses. Help maintain proper staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while controlling labor costs. Work nights as well as Saturdays and Sundays as required to provide management coverage. Have reliable transportation to go to the bank as needed. Work five days per week, with an approximate 32–39 hour schedule depending on hourly or salary status. Qualifications College education preferred, but not required. Management and/or sales experience required. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to manage effectively in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple situations simultaneously. Knowledge of client‑service techniques and operational practices. Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and planning skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor, and knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures. Team‑building skills. Ability to prioritize and delegate. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods. Bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment. Lifting or assisting in lifting items and heavy boxes. Bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc., from the floor. Perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
