Part-Time Medical Assistant (Duluth, GA)

Overview

Were seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our North Atlanta Dermatology office in Duluth GA . This role supports our dermatology providers with patient care procedures and clinical tasks in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Required schedule : Tuesdays Thursdays and Fridays (8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM)

Responsibilities

• Room p atients and document intake.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Organize patient flow .
• Setup p rocedure tray instruments and equipment according to i nstructions .
• Assist providers with dermatology procedures.
• Prepare Path / lab specimens route to correct lab directed by patient insurance plan .
• Respond to patient questions in office and on phone as instructed .
• Review and address clinical task lists and nurse line messages.
• Calibrate clean sterilize and inventory all equipment & instruments according to schedule . Keep appropriate records of maintenance.
• Maintain medication supplies discard out-of-date supplies and keep appropriate records .
• Maintain infection control and make sure s upply rooms and cabinets are stocked.
• Ordering sorting restocking and inventory of all supplies.
• Accurately document patient information and scribe provider notes in the EMR.
• Assist with administration of local anesthetic.
• Ensure all phone messages faxes and interdepartmental mail are addressed in a timely manner .
• Must maintain HIPAA compliance
• Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management .
