Position Overview

Are you an accomplished engineer ready to architect the electrical backbone of the institutions that define our communities? We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) to steer complex building systems design for high-impact K-12 and healthcare projects. In this role, you aren't merely managing circuits; you are a technical visionary responsible for integrating sophisticated power, lighting, and life-safety systems that ensure the safety and functionality of schools and medical facilities across Texas.

Core Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Lead the comprehensive design of power distribution, architectural lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for complex institutional environments.

• Technical Authority: Perform and oversee critical technical analyses, including electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination.

• Multidisciplinary Integration: Synchronize seamlessly with architects and MEP partners to ensure electrical systems are perfectly embedded within the broader building lifecycle.

• Project Stewardship: Navigate projects from initial site surveys and utility coordination through the development of high-fidelity construction documents and final site observations.

• Regulatory Leadership: Ensure every design exceeds industry best practices and maintains strict compliance with national and local building codes and healthcare standards.

• Team Mentorship: Cultivate a high-performance culture by guiding junior engineers, refining internal design standards, and promoting technical excellence across the firm.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.

• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas.

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering for building systems.

• Software Proficiency: Expert command of Revit and industry-standard electrical modeling and calculation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Sector Expertise: Specialized experience in the design of OSHPD/healthcare facilities or large-scale public K-12 campuses.

• Client Engagement: Proven success in client-facing roles and providing high-level Construction Administration (CA) support.

• Collaborative Reach: Experience coordinating engineering efforts across multiple regional office locations.
