Director Of Field Activation

Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world. We believe that service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. By 2030, Repair will catalyze one million acts of service towards repairing the world.

Repair is building a national Jewish service movement of flourishing Jewish communities that serve in pursuit of a just world. Repair mobilizes young adults to serve in their communities, catalyzes service through deep partnerships within Jewish communal organizations, and inspires people to take action through time-bound thematic national service campaigns. Our mission provides volunteers with an increased connection to meaningful service and learning as a Jewish value, builds capacity for nonprofit partners to meet their missions, and deepens connections across lines of difference.

Repair created the Jewish Service Alliance ("JSA"), a coalition of 50+ Jewish organizations dedicated to expanding service opportunities and mobilizing tens of thousands annually in impactful Jewish servicestrengthening the Jewish service movement to empower flourishing communities in pursuit of a just world. Through our Field Activation work, Repair scales Jewish service learning by building strategic partnerships, developing and sharing educational resources, and supporting JSA partners worldwide to implement meaningful service programming. These initiatives include training cohorts, partner convenings, and specialized programs such as Hillel International's Service Engagement Internship, JCC Association's Tzedek Initiative for Jewish Service-Learning, Service in Israel experiences, and many moreall unified by a commitment to high-quality Jewish service learning and seamless implementation.

Repair the World is seeking a dynamic Director of Field Activation to lead our Jewish Service Alliance (JSA) partnerships and operations. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of core JSA partners, drive new partnership development, and oversee comprehensive project management for all field activation initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance relationship management with operational excellence, ensuring seamless execution of conference strategies, digital communications, and partner onboarding processes.

The Director of Field Activation will serve as the primary architect of Repair's field presence strategy, working collaboratively across departments to maximize our collective impact. Through managing existing partnerships, cultivating new relationships, and overseeing complex operational systems, this role directly contributes to Repair's goal of catalyzing one million acts of service by 2030.

This is a full-time exempt position. The Director of Field Activation will report to the Senior Director of Field Activation Strategy.

Position Responsibilities

JSA Partner Portfolio & Program Growth

  • Manage and nurture relationships with 3-5+ core JSA partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, maximizing collaborative impact, and supporting partner success through regular check-ins and strategic planning sessions
  • Identify, evaluate and onboard new strategic partners to expand Repair's reach and strengthen field presence across diverse Jewish communities
  • Serve as primary point of contact for partner communications, provide ongoing support for Jewish service programming initiatives and facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing

Project Management & Operations for Field Activation Initiatives

  • Lead comprehensive conference participation strategy including researching conferences, submitting proposals, coordinating on-site service activations, creating session content in collaboration with Repair's Director of Education and Learning, and following up on new contacts made at conferences
  • Partner with internal data team to develop and implement robust data collection and analysis processes, ensuring accuracy, actionable insights, and effective tracking of field activation metrics (program data, evaluation insights, etc.)
  • Collaborate with finance team to establish and execute streamlined partner invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial management for all JSA partnerships
  • In collaboration with Repair's brand marketing team, serve as the JSA digital presence lead, managing JSA communications (JSA website, newsletter, listserv, etc.)
  • JSA Onboarding, Outreach & Internal Tracking

  • Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding processes for new JSA partners, including welcome sequences, resource provision, and integration support
  • Create and execute outreach strategies to engage prospective partners and maintain relationships with existing network
  • Establish and maintain internal tracking systems for partnership development, performance metrics, and strategic planning purposes

  • Jewish Communal Knowledge : Understanding of Jewish organizational landscape, communal structures, and values-driven programming approaches

  • Relationship Building : Natural ability to cultivate professional relationships, represent the organization effectively, and navigate complex stakeholder dynamics
  • Data-Driven Approach : Comfort with data collection, analysis, and using insights to inform strategic decision-making and program improvement
  • Conference & Event Management : Experience with conference planning, RFP processes, on-site coordination, and post-event relationship management
  • Requirements :

  • 5+ years of Experience : Including a track record of :
  • Partnership management, business development, or strategic relationship building
  • Project management with multiple stakeholders and complex timelines
  • Digital communications, content management, or marketing coordination
  • Working collaboratively across departments and with external partners
  • Technology Proficiency : Comfort with CRM systems, project management tools, website management platforms, email marketing systems, and learning new technologies as needed
  • Communication Excellence : Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to represent Repair professionally in diverse settings and adapt messaging for different audiences
  • Flexible Schedule : Availability to support evening and weekend programs, conference travel, and partner events based on organizational and partner needs

    Compensation and Benefits

    Compensation at Repair the World is based on the salary band for the role and cost of living for the location. The starting salary range for this full-time exempt role will be $75,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience level and location. Benefits package includes paid time off for service in addition to vacation, sick time, personal days and holidays. Employer covers 100% of full-time employee's health premiums (medical / dental / vision) for most plans and 50% for dependents. Additional benefits include, retirement matching, professional development funds, employer-paid short and long term disability coverage plus access to the Jewish Learning Collaborative and our Economic Access Fund. In addition, employees that have been with Repair for at least six months are eligible for 16 weeks of paid parental leave (pro-rated for employees with Repair less than 6 months).

    This position is included in Repair's staff union-represented collective bargaining unit and specific terms and conditions of employment may be subject to a future collective bargaining agreement between Repair the World and the Repair the World Workers' Union.
