POSITION TITLE Housekeeper

SUMMARY Clean assigned areas, with the greatest concentration on public spaces

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Clean resident rooms and bathrooms daily, as defined in the assistance plan.

2. Clean common areas as scheduled.

3. Strip beds weekly, more often if necessary.

4. Provide a complete set of fresh linen and towels weekly.

5. Ensure that bathrooms are free from mildew; provide new curtains, bath mats if needed.

6. Inform maintenance personnel if repairs are needed.

7. Collect residents’ laundry weekly, as defined in the assistance plan and / or more often if necessary, and bring to the laundry room.

8. Collect residents’ laundry after being cleaned and return to proper places.

9. Do laundry for residents, if needed.

10. Report concerns or observations about residents to supervisor.

11. Ensure a safe living environment.

12. Wash windows and window sills in resident rooms weekly or more often if needed.

13. Assist with exterior window washing twice a year.

14. Maintain and ensure that there is an adequate amount of clean linen at all times, inform supervisor, if otherwise.

15. Deep clean all vacated apartments to prepare for the next resident.

16. Assist in serving meals.

17. Carry out other duties as assigned.

18. Maintain an adequate amount of supplies to complete job responsibilities. Inform supervisor if supplies are needed.

19. Return all supplies to proper storage area upon completion.
