National Account Executive- HVAC and Material Handling

The National Account Executive for HVAC and Material Handling drives continual expansion with current customers while bringing new opportunities to the company and works the opportunities from the initial stage through completion.

This role develops robust and viable strategies for continued success of the customer and our team. Experience in cold calling, developing referrals and closing deals with long sales cycles and multiple decision makers is an absolute must.

This territory includes the Portable A / C, Portable Heat and Material Handling Markets in the contiguous USA.

This individual is responsible for fulfilling the requirements set forth by ABC’s Code of Business Conduct Policy and conducting themselves in a professional manner in all interactions with peers and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospect and cold call on Engineers, Maintenance, Operations and Purchasing personnel.
  • Nurture incoming leads through to closure.
  • Manage and service OEMs, Distributors, and other customers.
  • Monitor and report all activities in CRM including opportunities and prospects.
  • Create and develop sales proposals.
  • Works well independently to achieve all goals set forth by management.

Education and Experience

  • Proven track record within industrial sales through cold calling and prospecting
  • B.A. preferred with at least 5 years of sales experience.
  • Previous experience closing deals with complex and long sales cycles.
  • Experience navigating and aligning with multiple stakeholders within an organization.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Hunter mentality
  • Good at negotiating during all phases of a sales cycle
  • Must be a relationship builder and problem solver.
  • Relationship driven and goal oriented.
  • Good at managing multiple accounts.
  • Must be CRM (Salesforce) savvy.
  • Must understand consultative selling with a value proposition.
