ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Receivable
- Accounts for invoices
- Enters customer remittances and deposits checks
- Resolves deductions from payments
- Collects overdue accounts
- Enters returns
- Processes credit notes for deductions, returns, allowances
- Generates debit notes for resolved deductions
- Troubleshoots customer service inquiries
- Administers credit management
Accounts Payable
Processes invoices and supporting documentsResearches problem invoices; interfaces with vendors, customer service team, and others to reconcileReconciles freight billsAnalyzes freight claimsPrints checks with supporting documentsGeneral Accounting
Maintains accounting department files and recordsEnters information into accounting data entry systemReconciles bank accountsGenerates reports and analyses for internal and external (e.g. auditors) usersAssists in closing the books monthly and annuallyQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION
One (1) year of related work experience in accounting, or a related degree requiredDemonstrated ability to perform basic math calculations with accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong computer skillsAcute attention to detailStrong organizational skillsBookkeeping certification, plusPhysical Requirements :
Regularly stand / sit for extended periods, operate office equipment, perform light-moderate lifting, lift / move up to 35 lbs. occasionally, bend, twist, and maintain posture.
