Staff Security Data Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

Cyber Defense within CVS Health is seeking a well experienced Staff Data Engineer to join and technically lead our growing team. Staff Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and deploying security specific data engineering solutions following CVS Health specific business and technology requirements.? Additionally, this Staff Data Engineer will help to define, drive and deliver all aspects of the data engineering product development lifecycle, from solution architecting, programming, testing, implementation, delivery of products.

What We Expect of You :

Drives the development and implementation of advanceddata engineering pipelinesand algorithms to solve complexdataproblems.

Collaborates with multiple departments, including data scientists,securityengineersand Information Technology (IT) professionals, to understand business requirements, definedata engineeringprojects, and prioritize initiatives based on strategicobjectives.

Interfaces with stakeholders to define performance metrics and evaluation methodologies fordata engineering products, contributing to rigorous testing, validation, and performance monitoring ofproductsto ensure accuracy and reliability.

Advises onthe optimization and improvement of data pipelinesand infrastructure to enhance efficiency, scalability, and performance ofdata engineeringsolutions.

Consults on and presents technical findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contributing to the dissemination and application ofdata engineeringinsights.

Manages team performance through regular,timelyfeedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development.

Staysup-to-datewith the latest advancementsin data engineeringand related technologies, continuously exploring and evaluating new algorithms and methodologies to enhancedata engineeringcapabilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of programming experience in Python and experience withlibraries such asPySpark.

5+ years' experience withdeploying complex streaming pipelines.

5+ year(s) ofsolicitingcomplex requirements and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

5+ year(s) of experience independently managing deliverables.

3+ years of customer interfacing experience (internal or external),demonstratingexcellent ability to communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in Databricks Delta Streaming for real-time data processing and analytics.

Experience with Apache Kafka for building real-time data pipelines and streaming applications.

Knowledge of Apache Flink for stream processing and complex event processing.

Familiaritywith Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Azure Stream Analytics.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, such as GoogleBigQuery, Google Cloud Dataflow, and Google Pub / Sub.

Skills in designing and implementing ETL processes using Databricks and other tools.

Ability to integrate data from various sources using Kafka and Flink.

Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and application development.

Master's degree incomputer science

EDUCATION

Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is :

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
