Project Accountant
The company is a $20M dollar General Contractor looking for a Project Accountant to join their growing organization. Their main specialization is projects between $30M - $40M and have been taking on a number of new projects around the Chicagoland area.
Job Description
Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Prepare and review project cost reports and ensure timely invoicing. Collaborate with project managers to monitor financial performance and address discrepancies. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Support month-end and year-end close processes related to projects. Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit purposes. Identify opportunities for process improvement in project accounting procedures.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Accountant should have : a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience in project accounting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Foundation & ProCore. Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial discrepancies.
