About this Role :
Imagineeer is seeking an experienced ETL Developer to design, develop, and implement robust data integration solutions that enable efficient data movement and transformation across enterprise systems. This role is vital for ensuring data is accurately extracted from various sources, properly transformed, and loaded into target systems to support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in ETL tools and methodologies, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and data management knowledge. This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using appropriate tools and technologiesCreate data mappings and transformation logic to convert source data into required target formatsDevelop data quality rules and validation processes to ensure data integrity throughout the ETL lifecycleOptimize and automate ETL jobs for performance, efficiency, and scalabilityTroubleshoot and resolve ETL process failures and data quality issuesImplement error handling, logging, and notification mechanisms in ETL workflowsCreate and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, including data mappings and transformationsCollaborate with data architects to understand data models and integration requirementsWork with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical ETL solutionsWork with stakeholder on understanding client's existing ETL solution and propose a future modernization ETL solutionDevelop and implement data reconciliation processes to validate ETL accuracyCreate and execute test cases to verify ETL functionality and data qualityImplement incremental load strategies and change data capture mechanismsMonitor ETL job execution and ensure timely completion of scheduled processesSupport data migration activities and system integration projectsImplement metadata management practices for ETL processesQualifications and Skills :
U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance .Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.5 + years of experience in ETL development, data engineering, or enterprise data integration.Strong experience with ETL tools and technologies (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or similar)Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex data integration solutionsExperience with SQL and relational database systemsExpert knowledge of ETL methodologies, patterns, and best practicesProficiency with at least one major ETL platform or frameworkStrong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and queryingExperience with data profiling and data quality assessment techniquesKnowledge of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modelingExperience implementing error handling and exception management in ETL processesUnderstanding of performance optimization techniques for data processingExperience with scheduling and orchestration of ETL workflowsStrong problem-solving skills for addressing complex data integration challengesKnowledge of source-to-target mapping development and documentationExperience with data type conversions and handling special data scenariosUnderstanding of incremental loading strategies and techniquesAbility to work with large and complex datasetsStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyExcellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and business stakeholdersDesired Skills and Competencies :
