Southern Industrial is seeking a Crane Operator with current NCCCO TLL certification to work out of our Columbia, SC office on various jobsites in the surrounding area.
NCCCO for fixed & swing preferred, but fixed cab is required. Must be willing to travel within NC / SC / GA.
The primary function of this position is to independently perform lifts and picks utilizing the following types of cranes but not limited to Link-belt, Grove, Liebherr, All terrain and hydraulic truck cranes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Complete JSA’s and lift plans.
- Review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
- Perform all necessary safety checks on the equipment per procedures & policy.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
- Operate cranes in a safe manner.
- Operate ton
- May operate Hydraulic and All Terrain Cranes.
- Maintain logbook, ELD’s and comply with Hours of Service and all other DOT requirements for CDL drivers.
- Collaborate with Riggers and Truck Drivers to hoist materials and or loads through Radio or visual signals and other communication.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Class B CDL is a minimum, Class A CDL preferred.
- NCCCO Certification TLL and TSS (Service Trucks).
- Minimum years of verifiable experience operating cranes.
- Clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
- Minimal overnight travel may be required.
