• Minimum two years of operating room experience
• Experience with Cerner Surginet is preferred
• Ability to scrub is a plus, but not required

Description :

The unit has a total of 4 beds in the main operating room and 8 beds in the pavilion.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 1, with nurses responsible for circulating.

Scrub techs are utilized in the operating room.

Weekend work is not required; holidays are covered by call.

Scrub color will be provided.

Call will be one shift per week, with every fourth weekend on call.

Shifts will start variably between 6 AM and 9 AM.

There are no evening or weekend shifts, and floating to other units is not required.

All orientation will include one week of paperwork and one week partnered with a preceptor.

Common cases in the main operating room include orthopedic surgeries such as total hip and knee replacements.

The pavilion handles neurosurgery, orthopedic spine, cardiovascular cases, general, gynecology, urology, and ENT.

The average number of cases per day is 15-25, equating to around 400 cases monthly.

Twenty to twenty-five percent of cases are inpatient.

Only cardiovascular or robotic cases will be performed if the technologist has experience with these procedures.

Anesthesiologists will handle all anesthesia; CRNAs are not used.

Critical patients go directly to ICU from the operating room.

Candidates must have a solid understanding of processes within the operating room.

The cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts to be canceled for contracts of 13 weeks.
