Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Medical Coding Specialist II

Position Status : Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location : This is a remote position :

For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied : $22.51 - $31.08 / hour.

Standard Working Hours : 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM (ET).

Position Summary :

Comprehensive understanding of the entire billing cycle, medical terminology, coding, charge entry, insurance adjudication, contractual agreement, payment posting, statements and collections.

Job Summary

Comprehensive understanding of the entire billing cycle, medical terminology, coding, charge entry, insurance adjudication, contractual agreement, payment posting, statements and collections.

Coding Certification required, CPC or CCS. Multi-specialty coding experience and specialty coding certifications preferred.

5+ years coding experience required. Epic, GECB, or Allscripts experience preferred.

Qualifications :

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) - Certification - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC) - Certification - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
