Job Description Summary

AAM is looking for an engineering student interested in controls / automation as a career to join our team.

Job Description

• Assist the Controls / Automation Engineer in the R&D and deployment of new technology related to inspection and automation equipment.
• Adapt new technology to our current controls standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable national electrical safety standards.
• Identify and implement advanced machine control, sensor, and robotic technologies.
• Assist the Controls / Automation Engineer with PLC / HMI programming.
• Assist the Controls / Automation Engineer with Robot Programming.
• Assist the Controls / Automation Engineer with Electrical system design.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
• Support Metal Forming plants as needed with to develop new or improve existing automated systems.
