Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a licensed Dentist to provide dental examinations, pain management, and indicated procedures within a secured correctional healthcare setting in DuPage County, Illinois. The Dentist will perform routine and emergency dental services in accordance with established clinical and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Board-certified Dentist licensed in the State of Illinois
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a practicing dental provider
  • Completion of facility orientation and security clearance

    • Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and emergency dental examinations and oral health assessments.
  • Provide pain management and perform necessary extractions within the scope of licensure.
  • Administer appropriate local anesthesia, medications, and antibiotics as indicated.
  • Maintain accurate dental charts, treatment notes, and patient records.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, sterilization, and OSHA standards.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and dental health practices.
  • Coordinate referrals or follow-up care with medical and nursing staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement, equipment maintenance, and supply inventory monitoring.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
