Travel Nursing Job Details
Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Nurse
Location : Aurora, Colorado 80045 (Denver Metro Area)
Start Date : November 17, 2025
End Date : February 16, 2026
Contract Length : 13 weeks
Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,180 - $2,240
Shift : Days, 3x12-hour shifts (06 : 45 - 19 : 15); occasional float to 08 : 45 and 10 : 45 starts
Hours per Week : 36
Facility : Level 1 Trauma Center, 41 Operating Rooms
On-Call : Approx. 6 shifts per 8-week schedule
Weekend Coverage : As required by unit needs
Patient Population : Adult surgical patients
Time Off : Up to 10 days approved per 13-week contract (blackout dates apply)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of Cardio-Thoracic Operating Room nursing experience (Circulator and / or Scrub)
Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Active Colorado or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
No first-time travelers accepted
Ability to float to other OR units as needed
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care for diverse surgical procedures, including Cardio-Thoracic, General, GU / GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgeries
Circulate and / or scrub for complex surgical cases in a high-acuity, trauma center environment
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergent surgical cases
Float to other operating room units within the healthcare facility as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize Epic EHR for accurate clinical documentation and patient care coordination
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in scheduling and unit assignments
