Sourcing Specialist
Our client, an Oilfield Services company, is looking for a Sourcing Specialist for their Sugar Land, TX location. Responsibilities include :
Providing category support to one of the major direct materials spend categories.
Working in specific procurement projects within the indirect categories : Logistics & Fleet, Operations, Services.
Learning and applying client sourcing methodology (Total Delivered Cost) to support sourcing initiatives across assigned direct material categories.
Managing savings projects and reporting, including pipeline tracking, execution, and financial validation in coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Executing core operational tasks such as material follow-ups, invoice issue resolution, outline agreement updates, and new vendor setups.
Supporting procurement engagement in supplier qualification, alternate source approval, and material quality resolution by collaborating with RDE, quality, supply chain, and regulatory teams.
Analyzing and improving service levels by working with suppliers and internal teams to implement process improvement plans.
Investigating and resolving supply disruptions; communicating status updates effectively across cross-functional teams.
Implementing and maintaining procurement systems and tools to drive Source-to-Pay efficiency and data integrity.
Maintaining accurate and categorized documentation for assigned spend within procurement systems.
Partnering with supply planning and plant teams to support forecast development and participate in S&OP-related processes.
Assisting in integration efforts for acquisitions and supporting cross-functional projects across regional / global procurement teams.
Requirements include :
2+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, ideally in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
Open to entry-level candidates, willing to learn.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and collaborative mindset.
