ML Bio Solutions (ML Bio), an affiliate within BridgeBio Pharma, was founded in 2018, dedicated to finding a cure for limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2I / R9 FKRP-related (LGMD2I / LGMDR9). ML Bio is developing BBP-418, potentially the first oral treatment for patients with LGMD2I.
The VP, ML Bio Solutions Lead, Medical Affairs, is responsible for leading medical affairs teams for ML Bio Solutions, a Bridge Bio company, developing an enzyme substrate therapy for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Type R9, FKRP-related. This includes developing and executing medical strategies and plans, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring that medical activities and communications comply with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid clinical background, a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and a proven track record of success in leading and managing teams within matrixed environments such as with clinical development, regulatory, market access, and commercial to generate momentum to further the business in support of patients.
Collaboratively develop and help execute medical plans for BBP-418 in alignment with the company's overall strategy
Lead the build out of nascent medical affairs organization
Help manage relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, delivery systems, advocacy groups, payers, and regulators
Ensure that all medical activities are compliant
Oversee the development and delivery of medical education, medical information, and training programs
Help drive the publication strategy for data dissemination
Contribute to developing clinical trial protocols, data, and evidence generation and analysis plans
Represent the company at scientific conferences, advocacy meetings, external executive joint meetings, and other events
Help support the Commercial function with key medical input (e.g., for content development, messaging, training)
Maintain a competitive lens to differentiate BBP-418 through scientific and market insights
This is a field-based position.
MD (highly preferable) or Ph.D. in a relevant medical field
Neuromuscular Medicine (optimal), neurology, genetics, or rare disease experience highly desired
8+ years of experience in medical affairs, with a focus on competitive brand management
Solid clinical and scientific acumen
Proven track record of success in leading and managing teams
Facile communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, especially in fast-paced environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
