Night Auditor - Part Time

The Night Auditor will ensure that all daily transactions are reconciled and accounted for in accordance with set policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Work with Staff Accountant & assist other Night Audit staff to ensure accurate and timely recording of daily outlet totals that information is recorded properly.
Assist in the closing of daily work for all outlets and posting correct daily totals. Balance Banquet and Conference Services charges as well as other food outlet charges.
Perform any necessary maintenance on the Property Management System and Property Point of Sale System when situations arise.
Input revenues daily into excel revenue spreadsheet & prepare Quick flash report Balance daily credit card postings and Property Management System transmit system for settlement.
Provide backup for Front Office and Communications during their scheduled breaks and provide assistance as needed. Ensure proper distribution of daily reports in a timely manner and that all accounting reports are filed away properly.
Notify proper outlets when discrepancies arise. Follow up with the Staff Accountant and document Respond to emergency situations per established procedures, including contacting Senior Management and local authorities.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate or equivalent. College degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
Extensive knowledge of Property Management System. Complete understanding of all Point of Sale systems and how they maintain & process information.
Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems and procedures to process nightly reports, backups, etc. Good computer skills. Knowledge Property Point of Sale including but not limited to formulas and spreadsheet integration.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS : Any other task, written or verbal, assigned by Front Office Manager. ENVIRONMENT : Inside well-lit office environment.
Comfortable ventilation and surroundings. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Requires occasional crouching, bending, pushing / pulling, and lifting / carrying of up to 25 lbs.
